Detection of outages of servers and computers with installed C-Monitor client

Detection of outages ( server down ) runs on the basis of an ongoing online communication between the CM Server and C-Monitor client. The C-Monitor client contacts the CM Server every 15 to 30 seconds (the interval depends on license and the current setting of the CM server) and if this connection isn´t accomplished, interval for notification of outage is being counted.

Minimal outage times for notification according to the type of C-Monitor client license:

Premium (Server/Workstation)    1 min
Standard  (Workstation)               1 min
BASIC  (Server/Workstation)        15min

This applies for all supported operating systems: MS Windows, Linux/FreeBSD, (Mac) OS X.
